In addition to field-grown trees, McMakin Farms grows crape myrtle bare root liners. The liners are grown as a two-year root and a one-year top. After the first year the crapes are planted, we cut them down to the ground. This allows for the canes to grow to be strong and sturdy in the second year of growth.
Canes are selected for uniformity and strength. Each liner will be multi-stem having 3-5 canes. The liners are suitable to pot in a 15 to 25-gallon container or can go straight into the field.
We, here at Sodfather Landscaping, have been extremely pleased with the high quality of trees that we have purchased for our projects from McMakin Farms, Inc. We are fortunate to have such a well run, local tree farm to work with.

Tree plantings are a large portion of my business. Having a single farm that I can depend on for great quality and fast service makes my job a lot easier. We've had 10 years of business together and many more to come. Thanks McMakin Farms!
